There has never been a time in my life that I didn’t have some form of creative outlet. It began when I was 5 and my Gran taught me to knit potholders and my mom taught me to sew clothes for my Barbie. I moved on to embroidering flowers on my bellbottoms and quilting for babies.
Now I’m knitting, felting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, beading, carving wood blocks and tying feather lei. If it requires fibers, textiles, sparkly little bits, threads or needles, I want to try it. I love choosing beautiful wool, creating a bag, then beading a pretty button closure for it. I wanted a small, easy-to-carry purse, so my sling bags were designed. The way I look at it, one can never have too many fun accessories.
Ideas come faster than my hands can produce, but I hope that anyone who sees my knitted or felted pieces, my beadwork, featherwork or textile pieces, feels everything I’ve put into them. Please enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
