My idea was to have a beautiful container on the tree when the orchid was dormant, and when the orchid bloomed, take the container into the house and hang it on the wall. I found ideas for wall vases on Pinterest and started making them out of ceramic and plastic with drainage holes for my orchids.

All my vanilla is organically grown, and hand pollinated, harvested when individually ready, dried slowly in the sun or a lightly warm oven over a period of up to two months before resting and finishing for another month.

I’m knitting, felting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, beading, carving wood blocks and tying feather lei. If it requires fibers, textiles, sparkly little bits, threads or needles, I want to try it.
